How It Works Water and garnet are combined under extremly high pressure. A computer guided predetermined set of coordinates guides the nozzle over the stock. The solution exits the nozzle and cuts raw material that is placed on the table. What it Does Water Jet Cutting is capable of precise, quick cutting of steel - up to 18 inches thick. Best used for "1 of " or short runs, the water jet cutting process virtually eliminates warping or disfiguring of the piece being cut or adjoining stock.
